The NPA has been designed so that it can be taught using a variety of readily available and free software tools. The majority of the core units can be taught using a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. However there are a number of other options available to schools.
Although the two core units can be taught separately and individually, there is also a lot of crossover between learning about data and learning about the applications of data science. We have produced a short list of the topics that could be taught in order to cover both the Data Citizenship and Data Science core units.
